Privacy policy

EZ Migration (“the app”) is a Shopify app that backs up a store's products, collections, pages and files, and restores them into another store. It is run by Daairah Digital Marketing Establishment, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what happens to it.
Who this applies to
Merchants who install the app, and the staff who use it. The app works inside the Shopify admin and never interacts with your store's customers.
What we collect
- Store details: your store's name and myshopify.com address, and the access token Shopify gives the app when you install it. The token lets the app act on your store within the permissions you approved.
- The store content you back up or restore: the products (with their variants, stock levels, images, videos and metafields), collections, pages and files you choose. If that content contains personal information, for example a person in a product photo or contact details on a page, the backup contains it too.
- Job records: when each backup and restore ran, its progress, and its report (which items were created, updated, skipped or failed).
- Your plan: whether your store is on the Free or Paid plan, and the ID of its Shopify subscription.
- Technical logs: IP addresses, times and the pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
What we don't collect: customer, order or payment information. The app doesn't ask Shopify for access to your customers or orders, and Shopify handles all billing, so we never see card or bank details.
How we use it
Only to provide the app: to create backup files, restore them into the store you choose, show progress and reports, apply your plan's limits, answer your support requests and keep the service secure. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or build profiles.
Where it's stored and who else handles it
- Our hosting provider runs the servers and database the app uses, in the European Union, under a data processing agreement with us.
- Shopify: the app works through Shopify's API, and Shopify bills the Paid plan. Shopify's own privacy policy covers what Shopify does with your data.
We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
- Backup files are deleted 7 days after they're created. Download your copy before then.
- Uploaded backup files (for restoring) are deleted 7 days after upload.
- Job records and reports are kept while the app is installed, so you can see past backups and restores.
- When you uninstall the app, its access to your store ends at once. 48 hours later Shopify asks us to erase your store's data, and we delete everything we hold for it: backups, uploads, job records and login details.
- Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Security
All traffic to the app uses HTTPS. Download links contain long random codes and stop working when the file is deleted. Access to the servers is limited to us.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about your store, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at errorfreedev@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Uninstalling the app deletes your store's data as described above. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Requests about your customers
The app stores no customer data. When Shopify forwards a customer's request to see or delete their data, there is nothing for the app to return or delete, and we confirm that to Shopify.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we'll also tell you in the app.
